Okay well this is all really interesting, I had in the past just plugged it into the usb on the inverter to try to yield better results. I have a 14 cherokee prior to this car and I would plug that in and plug the phone into the usb on the inverter and it would charge really fast. So when I got the lexus I tried doing the same and since the car was the only change, I assumed it was the car. I'll probably get that car plug in with the fast charge and see if that makes a difference. The center console doesn't have very much room for the inverter so the plug should be perfect.
