Weather Doppler map and city
I have been reading the web site (very impressive) and would like to confirm my understanding of how to get the weather map including Doppler.
I have a Certified 2015 ES350
I just brought it
To get the map and Doppler, it is advised that the "Personal Data" should be deleted ("General Settings"> "Delete Personal Data")
Correct?

The Traffic and Weather are updated through the HD Radio stations. Check the HD radio
button for both AM and FM and make sure it is lit. You will see a gray (HD) logo on screen
if they are broadcasting in HD and the logo will change to gold when you are receiving it.
Not all stations are but AM sounds like mono FM and many FM stations have multiple
programs. Go to www.hdradio.com for listings near your routes. HD range is not as good
as analog but it is free and it brings you the traffic and weather updates! You do not need
to listen exclusively to these terrestrial sources but should tune one in for a minute or so
each drive to refresh the info.
The Delete Personal Data is pretty severe, use it when trading in the car to eliminate EVERYTHING,
phone pairings, phone logs, destinations, service reminders, waypoints and points of interest...
Only connection to weather and traffic is that it clears out the Lexus App Suite which you will
then have to reload. LAS is a free App for your phone and when properly configured will also
refresh your traffic/weather if you have no HD stations or chose not to tune one in.

as far as I know on my 2014 there is no Dopplerand weather map. I could be wrong. I haven't toyed with it much. probably do that now since I'm heading to the store

My 2014 IS had it, as does my GS (and my Highlander). The 2013 ES has it, I believe, in the same location as my IS and GS.
Select the MENU button, then INFO > Weather > Weather Map as I recall.

HD Weather and Traffic was introduced first on the 2013 IS and GS but did was not on the
2013 or 2014 ES. (The RX didn't get it until the new 2016's...) What is on my 2014 ES300h
is the XM Satellite sourced (for a fee yet worthless!) Nav and Weather.

You are correct. I forgot about that.

You can zoom the weather map through three (3) sizes and the Nav Map through fourteen (14) levels
by using the rocker switch between the Map and Menu (Home) buttons on the center console. You may
also zoom using the remote control on the + and - icons in the lower corner(s).
Bring up the Weather map by either pressing the Speech button on the steering wheel and saying
"Show forecast" or press the center console "Menu" and choose "Info" then Weather.
