i did get a text from Raleigh Lexus for a 2017 IS 200t F-Sport for $36K OTD which includes the taxes and fees.
MSRP was $43,299 and he dropped it to $33,768. It’s a great deal but I just don’t want to deal with the depreciation value.

Haha. Could be... I’m really trying not to. Lease ends 01/26, so got roughly 3 weeks. Can extend that out a couple more weeks if I use the wife’s car.
The lease end purchase for my 2015 IS 250 F Sport is $29.5K. It does only have 18K miles. Would that be a bad idea?

Don't know if you've already extended your lease but if you call LFS, you can extend the lease an additional 6 months. My lease was up last month and I called to extend it just to see if there were any other cars out there that really caught my eye.

That’s actually what’s ending. I extended my lease for 6 months which is now ending in January.

Was driving the other day and a pretty slick looking toyota caught my eye in my rear view mirror. Slowed down to check it out and lo and behold it was a silver 2018 camry LE trim. Was surprised by it to be honest. Not the biggest fan of the rear end though

On what basis do you make these claims? Because it's a slightly newer platform? That's not the only thing that matters, you know. There are cost compromises that affect these things.

You're wrong. As I said in my comparison the 2018 Camry is better equipped, it's missing absolutely nothing... and it even adds a panoramic sunroof which the 3IS probably will never get.
You didn't rent a 2018 Camry XSE but rather an entry-level Toyota. Rental companies have never had top of the line models.

The Camry XSE V6 is definitely a way better car than its predecessor, but I honestly don't think it makes it better than say a Lexus. Think about it this way - the Camry XSE V6 has almost the same amount of features as a 2018 Audi A4 Prestige, even one up'ing the Audi with a Pano roof. Does this make the Camry XSE V6 better than the Audi A4? Probably not. Just like how it won't make it better than the Lexus 3IS.

Posted this in the "Price Thread" as well but figured I list it here as well. So haven't seen any used 2016 pop up anywhere and my lease is coming to an end on the 24th. I went back to the person at the dealer I've been speaking with for a new 2017/2018 IS. Here are the deals being presented.
Both include new graduate and Lexus Cash incentive.
2017 IS 200t F-Sport
MSRP: $43,299
Sale Price: $32,768
OTD (taxes/fees inlcuded): $35K
2018 IS 300 (Turbo model) F-Sport:
MSRP: $42,734
OTD (tax/fees included): $40,500
Any advice on which you would go with? Seems to me like the 2017 is quote a deal.

Any optional features in the 2017? It's a really good deal for 35k OTD.
The 2018 is now standard with all the pre-collision, lane departure, automatic braking, and blind spot.
