It is because in Asia the parking spaces are really tight quarters so folding mirror is big necessity.
In North America, spaces and home garage are typically huge.
In North America, We typically see this folding mirror button only on big SUV car like Lexus RX etc.
Actully I just removed the driver side door board, fixed the module and wires on the door, tap 2 wires, and plugged in module connector(I will post photo later), that is all. No need to change anything. I asked my friend, he told me very sure that RHD or LHD is same working with his module.
What is [don’t have motor] mean?
Just as specOne mentioned there's no motor inside to fold it. U.S Spec cars are manual fold only, I don't believe Lexus would waste money putting motors inside if there's no such function available for U.S.

Also you wouldn't be able to fold a Auto folding mirror manually by hand.
If you try, you'll hear and feel the resistance from the motors. Might be painful to listen to while you do it.
We never get the cool stuff in the US. Folding mirrors, NOPE! Heated windshield wiper rests, NOPE!
I'm sure it's all about price point and staying competitive, but at least offer it as an option.

Yeah, we would've found this out way long before when people were swapping light bulbs to LED in the housing.
