Default Mixing 2 different oil of the same brand?

Hi, I have a jug of mobil1 0w20 extended performance and a jug of mobil1 0w20 advanced fuel economy, I want to do an oil change at 10k km before the first factory recommended at 16k km, wondering if i can mix the two together. Thanks.

I personally wouldn't, but I don't see why it would be an issue. Just don't plan on doing it all the time and don't plan on using it for the extended performance since your diluting it. Also, I don't see the need to change it until the first factory recommended 10k service unless you've been driving the car hard or just are picky...

You'll probably be fine.

you'll be fine. i don't see how the mixing of the two will be diluting.

Same weights, same brand, a few more/different additives....go for it. Won't hurt a thing.

You worry too much, you can mix the oils, I have been in situations where I needed oil and all I could find was 5W30 instead of 0W20 and you know what... none of my cars ever exploded.

You are mixing the same weight and it's probably the same stuff in both bottles, NOTHING will go wrong

The rule of thumb is .... don't mix brands or weights.
You haven't violated either. GO FOR IT!!

As a one time thing, you'll be fine. I wouldn't make a habit of it.

You could always do an oil analysis with Blackstone lab to put your mind at ease.

You'll be fine. You can even mix brands if they're both 0W20. People do worse, like idle their engines for 15min at a drive-thru for coffee, or go longer than 5,000 miles between oil changes.
