I have been trying to figure that out myself. If anyone knows, please share. I have a 2014 as well.

I've looked around for this as well, and no luck. For 2IS it is done via a USB stick.
I honestly don't think there is a way to update it on a 3IS...right now.

I'm going to make some inquiries. I foresee a lot of head scratching when I ask.

It seems that for those with non-navi models, you just have to wait until Lexus posts an update on their website, which they RARELY do. Systems with nav are updated periodically over the air.

https://securedp.lexus.com/download-app/downloads

Lack of any updates for our multimedia systems have been one of my biggest complaints while owing the car...

That is true for Entune equipped vehicles, but for us Canadians that don't get Entune, except the new LC500, there I nothing.

Can Canadian models use this US nav update?

Yes you can...but that one is not the most current one. There is one after it that fixes other issues.
And it's a software update, not a map update...the map update requires the replacement of the micro SD card.
The most current map update card is 86271-78013.

I have a Canadian model IS350awd 2014 and did the update. The operating system is still slow but I think a software update would not fix that. I wish we had the Entune tho.

So here's the funny thing, for 2014 the filename is 13LHENNA-AB01_0004.kwi
2015-2016 the filename is 13LHENNA-AB01_0003.kwi (You would think the number would count up, not down.)

Pretty much. The nav system has the option to upgrade, but if I had to guess, it might be via USB.
For US vehicles, having Entune...the process is having Entune on your phone and with the phone connected to the internet and the car, when there is an update, it will be pushed through that way.
Since Canadian vehicles have no Entune, we are effed.
I did inquire with Lexus, but so far they do not know of a way to upgrade it. Gracenotes are online based, but the question is how to get it from the internet to the car.
I'm sure if it could be put onto a USB, then we could test at the car to see how to upload it via USB.
That leads to the next question, how do we get it from the internet to a USB...there's no file to download that I can find.

Just as a reference, my Gracenote version on my nav system is 05416. My IS is an early product 2014. Right now its physically 4 years and 1 month old.

The Gracenotes website basically directs you back to the manufacturer.
Since that's not going to help, I submitted an inquiry on the Gracenotes site...hopefully they at least respond.
