I've been thinking about this. Would I be better off finding a pristine rear bumper from a totaled front end collision vehicle (maybe a 2016 so there's less chance of scratches, etc...)? At least the paint would be OEM.
Is there a downside to this thinking?

Looking at it again, I would not bother with insurance at this point. I'll rather pay the cost to fix or replace out of pocket than have an accident on my carfax, and insurance may go up as well.

Hey I actually got rear ended a month ago by a SUV. Only had the car for less than a week lol didn't even get my plates when it happened. Hope u get urs fixed. I hate people lol.
I just got it back 2 days ago and it's completely fixed.

That makes my damage look like a spec of dust.
Sorry to hear that you had to go through that before you got to really enjoy the car and it's a 2017, too.
