Sorry, I must have seen it in the IS or even GS forum.
So I got my GS350's idle fixed at my local Lexus dealership the same way, and it worked.

I notice that my staff's Camry 3.5L V6 seemed to idle much better, though that engine is port injection only with a transverse mount.

Unfortunately, I don't have any additional information.
The bill only says rough idle, and air sensor cleaned out, with no official TSB number, and it was done free of charge.
However, it has worked - the idle is certainly smoother now.
Lexus certainly knows what it was doing; they must have encountered this problem before.
There was a thread some time ago in the 4GS forum concerning a rough idle.
