Lexus F Sport Wheel Paint Bubbling
Hello everyone,
So I was doing some cleaning on my 2014 Lexus IS 250 today, and while cleaning and drying the wheel, I noticed that at the joints where the circumference of the rim connects to the spoke, I noticed that the paint is bubbling and is very rough. It seems like its bubbling to me and I wanted to know if anyone else had this problem. I purchased the car as an l certified car, so I have no idea if the wheels have been repainted or not. I saw a previous thread on the wheel paint, but in that particular case, the clear coat was peeling and the finish where the clear coat peeled off was still smooth. The funny thing is that the rear back wheels are perfect and there is no bubbling. What do you guys recommend me to do?
Thank you

So it's only the front wheels doing this?
Has any of the bubbling popped or peeled so you can see what's underneath?
It's sounding and looking like a poor repaint so far.

yes, it is only the front wheels doing this. As of right now i can't see anything underneath, the weird thing is that i would expect if someone curbed the wheels, then the rear ones would be doing the same thing, but they're not

Looks like they probably were repainted. It could be possible the fronts only got curb rashed and were refinished. You can try to take it back to the dealer you got it from and tell them, probably won't cover it but sometimes you never know, worth a try. How long have you had the vehicle for?

Its honestly not that bad, and with the brake dust these vehicles get you probably wouldn't even notice it once your wheels get caked in brake dust in like 2 days lol. If it bothers you, you may have to get them refinished to clear the problem. I personally would just leave it, not worth the cost to refinish them unless it starts getting worse.
