Default Life After Your 3rd Generation IS....?

My lease is coming up soon on my 2014 IS F Sport.

Curious to hear from others as to what they are eyeing as their next vehicle, or if they are already in it.

I am certainly staying in the Lexus family, and I have it narrowed down to a RX F Sport, GS F Sport, and if I am lucky, a GSF.

Needing something bigger, but the backseat of the GS doesn't have a lot more leg room than my IS.

Love the handling on my current IS, and I know I will miss it.

B9 S4. A GSF is a little pricey for me

another IS. Granted I haven't even had mine for a month yet. But I would still be looking at a v6 or v8 rwd sedan. So I don't have a ton of options.

Either an RCF or lease another IS, so that I get to see what new engines are coming for the next IS350... I am only interested in IS/RCF for now. GSF is too expensive and it's the same performance as the cheaper RCF, which looks so much better.

I will not buy any other car, so glad the IS200T is a lease. I'm not even sure I want to own a V6 turbo which is slated for the next gen IS350. So more than likely, I just might have to buy an RCF to own long-term if I choose to purchase next time.

I will probably go back to MB again. Loved both MB and Lexus cars but hate the cost of ownership of the MB. With that said, at my age my next car will probably be my last one so I will be spending the kids inheritance to maintain it, so who cares!

Aloha

I would look at the RCF, and maybe it will come into consideration as the time nears. I have had coupes before though and the lack of space gets old after about 6 months, ha.

I'm about to be 29 and my son is 6 years old and growing......BUT - the wife's lease will be up next year and maybe she can get the RX and I can have the coupe

I thought hard about the need for 4 door but then I rarely have rear passengers and since my SO is getting an RX soon, I won't have to worry about cargo space. No kids yet, but when that happens the RX will handle the majority of those duties.

I'm already in it. I switched from a '15 IS 350 F into an RC F and have no regrets. The IS was a lease and the RC was a purchase. For me, the RC is worth keeping for the long haul. Thought it would be hard giving up the four doors, there's not a thought of that at all. Leg room is definitely tighter in the back for rear passengers, compared to the IS.

although i just got my IS, if they don't throw the TTV6 in the 4IS350, I'm going to a G20 BMW M340i most likely, or a 440i convertible

After I'm done paying off the IS350. Next car would be gas friendly commuter hybrid lol. I'm liking the CT FSPORT. Or maybe a Prius.

OR OR OR

a Mazda MX5, love these.

Overall, I want something cheap with good gas mileage.

I traded in my '14 IS350 for a '15 GS350 and have been very, very happy with it. In fact, I think I'm going to buy out my GS lease. The GS is the first car I've had for over a year without starting to think about what's next.

My IS was great, but family life with car seats dictated a larger back seat and the GS fit the bill perfectly.

There are so many good choices out there!
