Refer the diagrams on page 6 and 7 to see where you're looking and what you're looking for.

Got my letter today too. If there is rust, I would certainly want them to fix it properly.
When will you be taking it Sasnuke, and will you be going t Lexus RH?

Kudos to Lexus for taking initative on this. I had an older Nissan Maxima that suffered from this rear wheel rot, and the first gen Mazda 3s also had horrid rear fender rust, but neither Nissan nor Mazda recalled cars. This will also help Lexus maintain their used car resale values too; few well heeled ppl would want to buy a rusty 5 year old IS or RC, I would imagine

I'm going to wait until I take off my summers. Why take a chance with my bronze wheels unnecessarily.
Once my steel wheel winters are on, they can go nuts.

I'll also ask my dealership this weekend. I didn't find any information about this recall in EU, but it should definitely be checked, because we have salt on the roads for about 5 months a year.

I know this may seem like something horrific being done to your car, but you have nothing to worry about. The limited recall is designed to do 2 things, 1-save you having to deal with this problem out of warranty, 2-protect your investment by having the defect corrected as early as possible. Your vehicles value is well protected and will not be harmed by this recall being performed. Give the dealership a little room, that is why you are provided a loaner vehicle right off the bat, some car manufacturers do not give the same courtesy. All that is being done, is quite good considering that it could be worse.
