Default Opening sunroof

When trying to open the sunroof, there are 2 positions, with the 2nd position requiring you to press the open switch again after the sunroof moves to the first position. Anyone find a way to have the sunroof open to the 2nd position without having to press the button twice?

Looking for a short cut as I am lazy

just hold the 'open' button down a tick little longer. it'll open all the way.

Tried holding the button down longer but did not work. Have to basically hold the button until the roof is completely open, similar to an old Honda Civic I had.

hahahahaha!

I figured this was due to wind noise. It doesn't bother me too much. What does bother me is having 2 buttons to operate the moon roof.

In my 2013 accord it was one button with each feature integrated this means if i had the sunroof tilted up, and then I wanted it to be fully open i just had to hit open.

Now in the IS i have to close the sunroof with one button and open with the other. Not a huge deal just an annoyance coming from a simpler set up. Dang Toyota engineers.

that's weird. mine goes all the way back with one slightly longer push of the button.

Are you sure? I bet it's not. After it's fully open. Try to open it some more. Should open 4 more inches or so.

ok...i gottcha. forgot about that last 4 inches. i was referring to a quick push only opening it a little. a longer push opens it a lot. sorry for the misunderstanding.

The dealers should show people this feature. When I got my 2014, the guy did show me this feature. They didn't go over it when I got the 2016, but it's because we agreed to just go over stuff the 2014 did not have.
