Default 2015 IS350 f sport ECU issue?

I found a similar thread and instructions for resetting ecu for 2nd gen models. Is this the same for 3rd gen? Car shifts great in normal and eco modes, but in sport modes keeps dropping to 3rd gear and i have to manually shift out of it. Will an ecu reset fix this or is it mechanical? Thanks in advance.

It's supposed to drop gears in sport mode. That's how you get the best acceleration.

Maybe you can describe a little bit about how and when it drops into 3rd gear.
Realistically all that changes in Sport mode is the shift logic, the physical components remain the same, so if the other modes are shifting fine, then you are pretty much guaranteed there is no mechanical issue.
By any chance does more than one person drive the car on a consistent basis? Or are you the only driver?

Drop to third under what conditions? Are you just cruising, accelerating, or braking?

Today I was on the highway going about 75 and got behind a truck. I was in Sport mode. Decided to give it a good amount of gas, about 3/4 throttle, to pass him, and it dropped to 3rd, about 5500 RPM or so to begin with. I got up to about 87 MPH before it upshifted, and it was at 6200 RPM or so! So third at 90 seems unlikely but possible.

Sport+ mode meant to be REDLINE guys, do you shift early when drive a Standard Trans 6 speeds manual ? No right, Sport mode + in Lexus will do that like those Street Racers in Tokyo and USA, driving Lexus IS brings back memories !

whenever i go WOT until i reach 130km around 70mhp and let go the gas pedal, man I LOVE THIS THING, the car will REVvvvvvvvvvvv and then ROARRRRrrrrrrRRRRRRRR damn man it's amazing lol, right now my IS350 Fsport 100% stock and i can hear the Engine Roar imagine when i get my Exhaust lol, the RPM will not drop normally as fast as normal Mode if you playing with Sport+ mode , if you do like me in Sport+ mode the RPM will ROArrrr till you accelerate again in a few second. 100% Totally normal because it's Sport+ Mode. Don't you guys worry.

Yeah, I'm a n00b and I wasn't used to the timing. I love this car. I'd still like to reset the ECU computer if anyone knows how.
