gas mileage for brand new IS350
 

i had about 550miles on my 2 week old 2017 IS350 F Sport, i reset the MPG after each refill and i'm noticing it's only getting 18 mpg from the computer after each refill (however, the miles one tank lasted before i had to refill was about the same as my previous 2009 IS350). i know new car's MPG will improve over time, do any of you experienced similar MPG on your new IS350? my 2009 IS350 was getting 23 MPG regularly with the same mix driving environment and habit.

I noticed mpg calculator by Toyota is not accurate, whereas Ford is on the dot. It almost always read optimistically.

in that case it's getting similar but just a tad worse mpg as my previous 2009 IS350

My IS350 was AWD and I averaged 18-19 mpg in a mix, but could get up into the mid 20s on the highway. Your experience thus far sounds about right to me.

As for calculating mpg versus using the computer, I did that for a while but stopped and just used the displayed mileage. After 6 months of tracking it, I was never off more than .1 mpg in calculated versus displayed.

It all depends on where you're driving around. 550 miles of city? highway? or combined? If I do only highway, I could get it up to mid-20s but driving in stop and go traffic usually gets me 17mpg. Driving in San Francisco usually gives me ~15mpg because of the traffic AND the hills. I use fuelly to track my MPG/spending.

My 1st 1000 miles, I was getting like 17-18 mpg. When I had hit ~3000, is when my mpg had settled. Been getting 23-24 mpg combined ever since.

Today.. ~15800 miles. Just filled the tank at work, drove home (~30 miles commute). The display reads an average of 26.2mpg. Note this is like 95% freeway since fill-up/reset lol.

imo, the car gets decent gas mileage on freeway' cruising speed. A full tank gets me 365 miles range.

this is exactly the kind of consistency i'm looking for. Do you have a 350 or 200t?

'16 IS350 FSPORT. From the looks of it, I'm getting somewhat the same mpg's as a is200t/250 lol. Trick is to be in ECO mode, and be steady with the gas pedal. Drive conservatively, and A LOT of freeway.

Seems like for me the biggest boon to fuel economy is avoiding traffic signals and stop signs. I used to drive on the highway more going to the old office, but now I drive strictly in the city and still get better gas mileage. It was somewhat short of a highway trip, with quite a few traffic lights. The route I take now, has fewer signals but is only city streets, and I get about 20 mpg versus 18 or so on my old route.

I haven't seen any measurable difference in MPG in my IS350 between when the car was brand new and now (12,000 miles).

im getting 20mpg on my 200t lol. Horrible gas mileage, but I hate driving in ECO (i'm usually on Normal).. I guess I may be a bit heavy on the pedal from the looks of what mpg others are getting. oh well. Smiles over miles it is :)

I've driven the is200t's at work.. I have to press the gas pedal all the way down in order to feel some VROOoooooOOOM.

I enjoy driving it in Sport Mode. But yea, i know what you mean, same with the is250 if you've driven that as well. I'm fine with Normal but some better gas mileage would def be nice. Thing is I've always been heavy on the gas pedal in any car I drive.

Drive a Toyota Yaris you'll save gas !

I've driven many, if not all, the current gen Lexus'. Even for the is250, I feel like its more responsive because of it being a v6. The is200t, being a turbo, does have its lag when wanting power; and the gas mileage we see with the 200t is somewhat marginal at best. =\

But, I'm sure if your easy on the throttle, drive in ECO, & do more freeway, you will see better mpg. :D
