Are brake pads and rotors covered under warranty?

Technically they are, and the dealer may warranty a machine or replacement when the pads wear out, but realistically they are wear and tear items, so they are not really covered.
Warranty is meant to cover manufacturer defects...and worn out pads due to normal wear is not a defect.
