Same! I bummed rides off my college roommates and biked when I could.
My first car was a 2001 Buick Century, which I got when I was 21. I needed it to commute to some classes a couple times a week that were a 45 minute drive away. I still miss that car but probably remember it better than it actually was.

That type of seat isn't suitable for back road whipping-it though.
It's funny how our ideas of what a comfortable/luxurious seat are change over time. You just don't really see front bench seats in sedans, or "premium" cars offering cloth all that much anymore, at least in the US. I was watching a video on Autogefül recently about the E-class coupe, which apparently can be had with cloth seats in some configurations in Europe. Big surprise to me.Ramble ramble ramble

Was so lucky to get my 2IS silver color when I was 23 in college of course by parents. The 3IS I've got it when I was 29 ordered the color combo I always wanted, had to wait a month for it to arrive and just closed the bank finance this year... 31 construction manager.
