Well, there's the F Sport instrument cluster, different wheel and tire sizes, different seating, and the removal of fog lamps, all of which have functional impacts over the non-F-Sport models. It also opens up Sport+ mode on the 350 trims. It also gives you a slightly different steering wheel, which is heated.
It adds a bit more than just a pure styling/suspension package.
Never really seen the need for heated steering anyways outside of a convertible.
Have you not lived in a climate that has four seasons? On those 20, 10 degree F days, it's a huge help. Even with gloves, I've found it makes a huge difference. Let's be honest, no one "needs" a heated steering wheel, but it's definitely appreciated.

Agreed. I have cold hands, so I typically use my heated steering wheel any day below about 50F.
