Default How do you attach Front License Plate to Fsport model?

How do you guys attach the Front License plate to your IS Fsport? I just got a 2016 IS 200T Fsport and I dont see how I can attach the Front LIcense Plate (the plate holder comes with the car)?
Cause the Fsport has this Black Grill in the front and you can't really screw the plate to it, only way is to use a string or something? but that is not secured ? Any tips would be appreciated.

If you look closely to the front bumper, there's two placements where the screws go that will be drilled into. Your dealer can help you with that if you are not comfortable doing it yourself.

If you don't want to actually drill into the car, you could use zip ties which some CL members here have done.

Also, the Plate HOlder that comes with my IS only has 2 screws, so if I used those to attach the Plate HOlder to the car, then I won't have 2 more to attach the License Plate to the Plate Holder?
Where can I get these screws?

My dealer found the two screw holes to attach the front plate bracket. It looks just fine, and I’m not about to disobey California law.

I'm the opposite to you, even though it's the law. I hate how the plate is in the middle of the grille. I've asked the dealer to make sure they do not mount the plate holder in the front for all of my Lexus. If I'm forced to do it in the future (like parking in LAX), I'd get the tow hook attachment.

I'm also in CA, although I've noticed they're much more lax with nicer cars than they are with junk. I'm planning to get this after my encounter with a fix it ticket

I find it pretty funny that people are so bothered by having two holes on the bumper that are hardly noticeable especially on F-sport grill, but they would rather mount the plate on tow hook. I find the off center tow hook mount more obnoxious looking. No offense to those who have it.

I love the above look with the plate positioned way low on the grill vs. side. My only concern is the fact that it's exactly in the way of the radiator/cooling duct and may cause performance issues/overheating especially on hotter days. Does anybody know?

There’s an interesting story I read on-line a few years ago, about a guy who got pulled over (in California) for no front plate. It turns out he had one drink too many coming home from a party and ended up in jail and his car impounded.

It’s up to you of course to roll those dice, but not me.

It's a marginal difference, it won't be an issue.
