Default Tires are trashed in less than 12 months

i have a 15' is 350 f-sport and my front tires are worn down to the wire on the insides.

I am running 235/35 ZR 19 91w contenental extreme contacts on the front

and 275/30 ZR 19 on the back.

I took it to Les schwabs and they did an alignment yesterday.

Anyone had this problem?

also wondering how good the Federal 595 tire will hold up. Thanks

Welcome to camber wear. Alignment will not fix it

Technically, the alignment can do it if the geometry/sub-frame is adjusted as part of the process. Just need to go to alignment shops which specializes in frame and suspension systems.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-attached.html - Note, even thou this thread is from 2IS, the conversation would essentially be applicable to the 3IS as well. I need to re-upload my report since imageshack changed their policies since then so my pics no longer show (unless I pay to upgrade) from my original post(s) in there.

I will have to check and see what the alignment guys did at schwabs. I was working and had a buddy that works at schwab take it up to work with him. So, I didn't see what they actually did.

yes alignment can cause it but it's not the case. I bought my is250 new and within 10k miles the inner edge are gone while the outer edge are barely worn. The IS front wheel has about a -1.7 negative camber from factory and non adjustable.
Even though if the alignment is indeed off, the negative camber masks it with its faster inner wear.

I actually gotten my car aligned shortly after getting the car so I did not exhibit the inner tire wear as I had prior knowledge about this. Notice my front cambers after the work was done. Even thou this is the 2nd report because SuperPro was installed, the end result was near identical to results the first alignment when I gotten my car done which had that high of negative camber.

Changing the LCA bushing will fix that. Ask Meraki about it. He sells them.

Yes, in a way. If the 3IS is still having the issue about the bushings deflecting under breaking, it will eventually cause the wear as well. The FIGS SuperPro will stop this from happening as well.

First time Lexus owner and this is my first post. I have drove only Honda/Acura products for 35 years and have switched. I just wanted to say that I still have an Acura Tl that would go through tires due to the negative camber on the rear. Honda products also have no camber adjustments. The tire rear stopped when I installed some SPC Performance adjustable camber arms on the rear. I requested they be set to a -0.50. The tire have lasted twice as long with no real change in the way the car handled.

Stock alignment are not adjustable. You need SPC Ball joint then alignment.

Sooner the better unless want to change the tires faster.

Essentially yes, depending on your driving habits.

For me, they were able to get the cambers adjusted somewhat without the camber kit and it did last twice as long as well. Ideally, the camber kit can fine tune this further like chas410 has suggested.
