Hello IS Group,
I called my Lexus dealership for a 60k mile service and they quoted me ~$1500.00 which is nowhere close to the $435.00. Anyone experience something similar?

Plugs alone on the 250 are about $13 each plus the labor on the 250 tends to be higher as the plastic surge tank must be removed (commonly called the intake manifold) to access #4 and #6 plugs. So run with that $435 quote and hold them to it. Make sure they are using denso idridum plugs otherwise you will have poor economy and likely misfires.

The $435 quote I received was from an independent shop. I might ask Toyota what they'd charge.
The spark plugs definitely cost about $400+ due to the labor. And that's the prices / estimates from independent shops, not Lexus or Toyota.
Some people told me that I don't need to change my spark plugs until like 100k miles...
Plus my car just started doing something weird the other day... I was a red light w/ the A/C on, then the car started to "shake" .. It felt like it was an earthquake, then I realized the RPM stick was like twitching/tripping out; moving like how the stick on a lie detector.. Just moving left and right quickly, but it was only moving about a 0.5mm in between and it was under 1000 RPM. So far, I've read it could be carbon build up, spark plugs, crappy gas (I put Premium 91), etc.
RPM Jumping / jerking / bouncing PROBLEM Read description - YouTube
^^ The RPM stick pretty much goes like that at 0:14 of the clip.
& yes, this is my first 10k service that I'm actually doing on my own. The 40k and 50k service wasn't a long list compared to the 60k.

PS: Spark plug replacement on IS is not hard, air filter is super easy, cabin air filter need a little skill, You should change your Differential/transfer case fluid front and rear, don't worry about other fluid like Brake, brake is also easy regular mechanic can do.

Should've factored in maintenance costs prior to purchasing the car.

not Carbon build up, your car needs a TUNE UP ! , air filter, spark plugs, put Top gas in there.

250 ant 350 are different motors. The 250 is direct injection only and will build up carbon more than the 350. A top engine cleaning is a good preventive service for them (along with always using good high octane fuel). The 350 can change the plugs without removing the intake surge tank however the surge tank on the 250 covers the #4 and #6 plugs.

2010 was the first year they switched the engine oil to 0w20 IIRC. Did you change your oil every 5k or 10k?

60K service for '15 450h
Just spoke with my dealer service rep about this last week.
He says it's extensive and expensive.
For my model, around $1100. Yes, I'll be looking for alternatives in the Scottsdale AZ area.
