Default I Must have the worst luck

A bit annoyed at the fact that i bent two of my aftermarket niche misano rims on one dip/pothole. Dont even know what it was. On the face of the rim too. The bend isnt bad but enough that it's noticeable to the naked eye. Ive been quoted AT LEAST $150 per rim to repair them which includes refinishing the rim. At that point im considering two new rims. I already bent one of these rims on the inside. I always thought niche was a good brand. I know 19inch rims in ny are stupid to begin with but im pretty careful and keep my conti dws06 tires decently inflated. 43psi cold. I just dont get it. Very frustrated.

Sorry to hear.

Slightly unrelated, but are the stock F-Sport rims prone to bending and warping as well?

As far as I know, they shouldn't be as OEM wheels are meant to be run for the lifetime of the car so I would assume Lexus made sure they're decently sturdy.

To OP, that's unfortunate. Perhaps contact Niche and see if they could help you. With all wheels, there are always horror stories such as your own; Vossen and Forgestar are also big names with plenty of stories. It comes down to a case of misfortune really.

Side note, 43 psi cold is way too high.

sucks that you got 2 bent wheels from one pot hole, but Niche wheels definitely aren't known for their quality...

Call or text Jose in Freeport on Long Island at (347) 954-7879; $110 per wheel, 24 hour turn around.

Tell him Jared with the Lexus IS F Sport and BMW 7 Series Individual wheels sent you. Super nice guy!

Maybe see if he can do better because you have two wheels in need of repair?

Thanks so much! I will call him in the morning. Were you happy with the color matching when he refinished your rims? Graphite is a tough color to match! I know you had a lot of trouble with these damn ny potholes as well lol

19" rims on crap NY roads are going to get bent. I live in Tennessee where the roads are generally pretty good, had a blowout due to the interstate completely falling apart back in 2015. I run 18" rims on my SC300 with 35 series tires. Didn't bend my rim but scratched the hell out of it. My wheels were the Lexus accesory "spider" wheels, with that hard to match metallic grey paint on them. First time they were the totally wrong shade of grey, 2nd time they were better but not a perfect match to the OE finish.

I'd change your setup to something less radical rather than try and fix what you have. IMO the wheel repair guys can get "pretty close" to the OEM finish on your wheel, but it won't be 100% perfect.

I'd say Aron9000 is correct; not 100% perfect, but very, very close. The F Sport wheels are 'hyper silver' - a very difficult color - but there's a 3-stage process to replicate. Came out good! Make sure to convey how OCD you are / may be.
