Question for VA owners with self-installed fog lights
I recently purchased the Nigel-JDMParts fog lights and while I was searching for step-by-step instructions on how to wire them using the stalk (still looking BTW) I came across this below link. The way I read it (paragraph 11.g.(1)) the fog lights must turn off when the high beams turn on. Anyone else from VA (or another state with this rule) ever run into a problem with the police or fail a state inspection?

True, the high beams aren't on very often and I actually never even thought about it. I had to go check my other car and sure enough the factory installed fogs do turn off when the high beams come on. As for whether VA inspectors check this during their annual inspections I have no idea but if they do check this the car would fail and the owner would have to correct it. That would mean getting it wired to turn off with the high beams or removing the bulbs and wiring for the fogs, according to the site I got this link from. Not something I would look forward to.
