Default Cupped tires?!

I just got a tire patch installed today at a local tire shop and more than one person commented on how bad my front tires are cupped on my 2014 IS350 F sport. Currently, I have my winter tires (Blizzak WS80) on which have seen one winter worth of driving (about 7k miles) and were just put on for this winter. I had my Lexus dealer (Lujack in Davenport IA) check my summer tires (Continental Extreme Contact DWS) as they store them for me and my summer tires are cupped too! The service person said that the IS has an "aggressive" alignment and this is to be expected.

Has anyone heard or experienced this before? I can understand how a bad alignment could wear the inside or outside of the tire, but can't understand how it would cup the tire. I would think cupped tires are symptomatic of bad struts or loose suspension components like a bushing as undesired vertical movement is necessary to cup the tire.

Any advice?

Side note - I’m not sure why I pay the Lexus dealership so much for “quality” service as they didn’t catch the cupped winter tires when they pulled them off earlier this year or the cupped summer tires they just pulled off. Both times, not only did I have tires mounted and I also had a major service which included an “inspection.”

Thanks,
Matt
