There isn't really a benefit to it. Most of the time i always run my DRL during the day and i would hate for my fogs to be on at the same time when its fully bright outside. I feel as if the fogs are should really only be on when the headlights are on. I also had my guy ground the cable to the car just to be safe

I wonder how the Nigel-jdm aftermarket harness with switch would work? they don't seem to sell it by itself, you need to buy the kit with the housings.

I think it would look cool while the drl are on. Purpose? Probably not but maybe an extra light during cloudy situations when the headlights don't automatically turn on.

One of my favorite build javylsu 2nd gen IS350 I'm going to look for this switch that he linked up to his jdm fog lights. I know it came from a Toyota car. I'll do some research and see if I can get this switch to work with this fog light by ijdmtoy. Here's a video of that switch.

You're right, no use having fogs on if headlights are not on. In fact, in some Euro countries, you can get fined for having fogs on when there is no fog. Go figure. I think it's the same for DOT regulations, but since enforcement is up to each state...

You guys are still off, Those are not the right size switch to fit blank panels on 3IS.
i've done my research on these switches
There are 3 different Lexus/Toyota sizes from over the years.
You can look at it like this specific to Lexus IS generations
1IS was LL size
2IS was L size
3IS was S size.
See image below for better understanding.
Also most of the switches you will find are backlight Green or Amber due to it being the most standard colors used in other Toyotas.
White will not be easy to find unless you go with one of those OEM replica buttons with White LED but it will not direct match to the "soft white" LED color our dash is.
