Default Any 3IS Genuine Trailer Hitches?

Does anyone have pics, or links to a genuine trailer hitch for the wife's 3IS?
And are genuine rubber/plastic trunk floor covers/tubs available? Any pics too?

A hitch may prove hard to find.

The owners manual does state that one should not install one, even for one of those bike carriers..

Really? I thought Lexus had OEM trailer hitches for the 3IS?

If I remember correctly there haven't been any OEM IS hitches. Curt probably has one of the cleanest, but I personally would never install one on any IS I own.

Transmission and oil temps get nuclear on their own, without the help of an anchor. That is why I always own a truck.

I forgot to mention, in Canada anyway, the cheapest place to find a hitch for just about any car is U-Haul. Don't know if they offer them in the US market though.

I thought about it strictly so I can get a bike rack only because god knows I am not putting bikes on the roof or getting a trunk mounted style carrier.

U-Haul does list one, complete with instructions. I think the cost was $175cdn

I got the one from Curt, a shop charged me half an hour to install. Check out their website.

I got one from etrailer.com and it is made by Hidden Hitch. I think it might be sightly less noticeable than the Curt hitch. This is the only pic I have where you can see the hitch... bonus, you get to see my bike too.

Just to lug a very lightweight 1500 lbs two wheel trailer once in a blue moon to transport large items etc.

I thought eTrailer and Kurt etc had trailers hitches, but I'm surprised Lexus does not provide any genuine trailer hitches for the IS.

They do but not in the U.S.

What I don't like about the non-genuine eTrailer Curt hitch is that the female square tongue receiver seems to hang from below the IS's rear skirt all the time, by the looks of the pic below?
This effectively reduces the rear ground clearance of the IS.
Are there any trailer hitches for the IS where the hitch tongue attaches to the rear face of the rear skirt, such that no female square hitch receiver hangs below the rear skirt?

It sits lower but it's not that bad. Any higher and it would require modifications to the bumper.
