honestly, the 2.0t doesn't save that much gas over the 350, and the 250 even. my cousin has a NX200t and we get very similar MPGs

It looks like the 200t is a big missed opportunity. A massive miss. They really should have tuned it a bit more aggressively to get low 6s on the 60. I hope the IS350 has a better refresh.

is the car magazines aren't going for a cruise at 72 mph for 70 miles to utilize the 8 speed and the 2.0 liter
in real world this engine should get 34 mpg highway at 70,
thats where the savings will add up and the real world combined should be 24 mpg
much better than the is 350

Is the IS 350 getting a new engine? If it is I would believe it would be for the 4th gen IS not the 3rd gen...

I'm kind of with you guys on the turbo lag. But the engine does grow on you. Scooting in front of cars on traffic as the turbo kicks in is very easy in the IS200t. It does pull forward with authority at around 2krpms. Effortless with minimal revs and pedal input. That I do like about it. You feel like you are driving a bigger engine'd car. I think the engine just needs a bit of tweaking/software tuning to get it overall more responsive and more power and it'll be fine.

As far as MPG, I was able to get 34.0mpg @ 75mph avg on a 100 mile drive. A/C on. Now that part I like.

Carry over from what I read but updated GS engine would be logical.

Wow. Getting "F Sport" tacks-on six thousand dollars, after the "required options". So NOT worth it.
I wouldn't pay them even one thousand for it, without the active suspension.

Hello forum, to correct the article: No you don't need the "required options" at least in Florida. Not sure if each market is different. I got mine 2016 IT200 F sport with the sport option only. No DVD, luxury package or individual options. If you are ordering online it may be as the article is describing but most users look at dealer inventory to get a better discount right? If you are ordering online is because you want a specific option or individual option that the dealer usually don't get.

I own a is200T as well and I'm in love with it ever since. Way much better then the IS250. Turbo sounds and feels great in Sport mode! There is a little turbo lag but it's nothing serious, Bc once those turbo spools then you'll be gone! Def love those turbo gauges, such a nice car!! 10/10 would prefer over an is250

I also own the 200t Fsport and bought it on purpose. I wanted RWD like a roadster and the 8 speed auto. I tested both the 350 and the 200t. I absolutely loved the torque on demand in the 350. I decided on the 200t because of its tunibility. It really is a lot of fun in stock form. Turbo lag is present but you get used to it and anticipate it. I absolutely love it and have not regretted the purchase not one second.

Agreed. Drove my friend's 350 and do love the on demand power. But the full torque available at 2,000 RPM makes the 200t very nice to drive in the real world. Not much revs is required to get you going. The car feels especially powerful at night with the cool air. I floored it last night doing about 60 (highway) and the car moved forward with authority. Really surprised me. Plus yesterday I got 35.5mpg indicated doing close to 400 miles of highway driving w/ the AC on.

It is important to note the incentive on the 350 (when I got my 200t anyway couple months ago) was about $1500 less than the 200t. So the $5k difference plus the $1500 incentive can't be ignored. I did manage to get indicated 35.5mpg on a 400 mile road trip (all highway) over this past weekend =) that's nice about the 200 lol
