NuLuxe discoloring/absorption issue?
Hi Guys - my 2015 is the white/red nuluxe combo. Recently I noticed my driver seat looking a little dingy. It appears to be my Levi jeans (black/blue) rubbing off/absorbing into the red nuluxe! My previous IS had light grey leather seats (even lighter than the red nuluxe) and this was never an issue. I'm certain it is not my jeans as they do no rub off or discolor anything else. So my question is: has anyone else noticed discoloring of their seats w/ the nuluxe material?! I'm contemplating taking the car to the dealership but i'm sure they're going to blame it on me and my jeans, unless it's something others are having issues w/ as well.

My car is just shy of two months old (also with the rioja interior) and I've already noticed this happening. If its happening already, I can't imagine what it's going to look like after a year or two!
Is there anything we can do about this?!

The dye transfer has nothing to do with Nuluxe. Seat bolsters are the first to wear out because their shape, postiion in the car, your entry/exit habits and weight beat the tar out of them compared to the rest of the seat. Your jeans rub against that fabric and that increases the dye transfer.
I use Lexol leather cleaner (bring orange bottle) to remove the dye. I clean the seats every 2 months -- this cleaner is safe for leather, so definitely gentle enough for Nuluxe. I have the lightest interior option (light grey), I wear jeans all the time, and the seats look new. The trick will be to not let the dye build up -- clean often.

When i purchased my Lexus, the Dealer gave a set of 4 bottles to detail the car. (one shampoo, one interior cleaner, one seat protector another one for seat cleaner). They are 4 black bottles and have Lexus printed on them. Is is what they recommend using on their nuluxe seats to protect them and clean them.

Agree that it just sounds like you need to clean the seats to remove the dye that has transferred. I'm in some sort of dress pants or skirts/dresses 90% of the time i'm in my car and my seats are showing zero wear. So it seems to have to do with the jeans and the dye in the denim specifically.

So why now would a darker color start to show? It makes me think the nuluxe material they use is not the best quality or was not sealed properly.

My last car was a 2008 IS350 w/ the light grey LEATHER interior. So no my argument is not invalid because I'm trying to confirm if the problem is an issue w/ the Nuluxe seats or not. Which at this point, seems to be the case.
