Resurrecting an old thread..
..have any of you driven both cars?

I'm in the market for either the IS350 F-Sport or the RC350 F-Sport. I've driven both a few times already.

Day 1
IS350 F-Sport: 20 minutes

Day 2
IS350 F-Sport: 60 minutes (same IS350 as above)
RC350 F-Sport: 20 minutes

Day 3
RC350 F-Sport (different dealership)

Day 4
RC300 F-Sport: 20 minutes (2.5 V6 model)
IS350 F-Sport: 30 minutes (same IS350 as above)

Even it's the same engine, tranny, etc.. and the RC is heavier, the two cars drove night and day different. The RC was a lot of fun to drive. I'd switch back to the IS, and the IS felt slower and not as nimble as the RC. I was expecting just a bit of a difference, but it was quite the opposite. I called the dealership and told them my findings and said I wasn't decided, and so I drove it again. Same findings.
I've driven three different RC's, and they all (even the slower 2.5 V6) felt quicker and more nimble than the IS. I wonder if I'm driving a bad IS350 F-Sport. I'm going to a different dealership to drive the IS350 F-Sport there.

I WANT to like the IS350 more, but the drive is so different that it's making it hard to pick the IS over the RC.

Did anyone else feel the same?

Don't like the look of the RC, the grill looks too big. The 3IS is actually the only Lexus model I like, but I really like it, and that's why I bought it

Haven't driven the RC350 but I did drive the F.

It felt a lot more planted on the road over the IS but can't compare engines. The dealer asked which one I'd like to take for a drive, of course i couldn't take the 350 lol

That's an interesting observation! Would love to test drive an RC350 F-Sport and compare it to an IS350 F-Sport! Keep us posted on your decision!

Will do.
I'll be driving another RC350 F-Sport and another IS350 F-Sport today.
I'll be sure to post my findings.

I purchased the RC F Sport last month. I manage to squeeze my two granddaughters and their car seats into the back. It's pretty tight though. Dealer didn't budge much on the price but I got them down a couple thousand as I paid cash. It's a beautiful car and gets a lot of attention on the road.

as a 21st bday present a white/red 350fsport sounded pretty damn good LOL! ive seen the rc at my local gym and not a huge fan of how the front looks. saw it on the highway and not loving it either. don't get me wrong its an amazing car but I don't feel that made the wrong decision getting the IS. its a head turner for sure and the ladies surely love it. Plus I like having a four door in case i ever have to drive around more people and not move seats around. I came from a corolla so i have no complaints about engine or tranny or anything lmao .

I have the IS350 Fsport and tried the RC Fsport at Lexus event. Both car are great machine. Most of the time I ride solo too but I chose the IS over RC. Like you said, with the IS you will have more room, pretty convenience compares to the coupe.

The RC will give you a degree of exclusivity. IS is pretty common now.

After all the coupes I've had (lots), I love having a sedan. Friends don't scuff my damn interior up getting in and out

We drove both the IS 350 and RC 350 F Sports and ended up with the IS 350.

In the end, it was the practicality of the sedan (four doors, better visibility) and lower price that made the IS the right choice for us.
