Everyone is talking a lot about the xx% of tint but what about brand/model/quality of the tint. Which brand/model is the best value with great quality?

My current installer I'm talking to wants to install 3M FX Premium but that seems to be middle of the road quality. Since I'm getting Suntek self healing PPF I'm thinking of also going with Suntek CXP™ - Non-Metal, Nano-Hybrid, Carbon Construction. Is this any good? LLumar? FormulaOne? 3M?

I went with 3M Color Stable 35% all around. Pretty happy with the outcome (darkness and opacity level)

Looks nice. Any reason you went with 3M Color Stable over other options? If you don't mind saying how much did that cost?

It was middle of the road tint from 3m. Good color, protection and opacity.

They have their crystalline line which is uber expensive and super good for heat. I got it done for $260 cash which was reasonable so ended up going with that. Not the super best but not bad @ all.

I agree with alex. I also went with 3M Color Stable 35% for all 5 windows on my ride. I was very satisfied with the tint

Thanks for everyone’s insight, guidance and photos! Went with the 42% film today. I’m not sure of the manufacturer, though; sorry. Looked perfect in the shop, but a little concerned I should’ve gone with the 50% film after I left. Raining a whole day, but some quick pictures below. Looked the job up and down and seems good! Just some haziness on the rear glass, which I hope to clean once the film is cured. Was recommended to the shop by two people and the owner and an assistant did the work in under 45 minutes. If anyone on Long Island needs a recommendation, feel free to PM me.

One think I noticed comparing different 3M tint, Crystalline is much lighter at same % for some reason.

Looks good man.

You may know this already but don't touch it for 5-7 days depending on how cold it is outside. Also don't use the rear defogger.

Actually color stable is the top of line film. 3M crystaline is a clear film that lets almost all light through (90% to be exact) but it is excellent at rejecting heat and uv rays. Most crystaline is used on front windshields and home windows or any other place you want heat rejected without the darkening tint appearance and light rejection.

Thought both their ceramic and crystalline films are their top line films...?

Thanks dbs I appreciate it. Your tint came out really nicely too! Yeah, I made a thread about the wheel and springs install a few weeks back:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...g-springs.html

For the black pearl emblems, I ordered them from the Sewell Lexus site. Make sure you sign up with the Club Lexus discount when you order. Here's the link for the IS 350:

Here's titoman's thread on the DIY install:
