Default 255/40/18 square setup

Hi Everyone-

I am a new 2014 is350 f sport owner. I had been running a set of 255/40/18 Blizzak LM-32 on my old Evo X car.

I have a set of 18x9 +25 Advan Wheels. I know its a long shot, but has anyone gotten a 255 to fit on the front of a 3IS with the right wheel offset. Anyone have numbers similar to this that they could share.

Sure would be nice not to have to buy new snow tires, and I want to go to a squre setup anyways.

Thanks for the help!

I don't think 255 will fit up front. I wanted to run 255-35-18 on 18.5" wheels up front to go square and was told it wouldn't work. There was a forum member who fit 245-40-18 on all corners successfully. Keep in mind that a 40 aspect ratio tire in the rear will impact your speedometer (slightly).

I'm running 245-40-18 on all corners on 40 offset wheels. They fit without any issues. I'm contemplating on running 255 but on 35 profile.

Your offset should be ok but not sure about the 40 profile. You might rub on full turns.

Check with r0shiro. He ran a pretty wide wheel on his front.

I'm curious about this too. I'm thinking of running a 255/40/18 on 18x9 +35 square set up. Curious to see if anyone has been able to run this. Only looking to lower on some swift springs or something for IS350.

The offset is too low and will likely rub on the fenders during cornering, especially if you lower it.
Best case it's going to be really really close.

I ran 245/40-18 on 18x8.5 +35 last summer and had some slight rubbing in the front. 245/40 is bigger than stock so I felt like the car wasn't as fast as it used to be. Plus the steering was way stiffer.

255/40 with a lower offset might be hard to fit in the front!

Thanks! I think I will just run a 245/40 in the front and 255/40 in the rear. Now I just need to find a 18x9 wheel that will fit on the front and clear the brakes.

I'm thinking of going square on 18x8 all round too but want 255s so either 255/35 or 255/40. Wheel offset is +30.

I currently have 225/45/18 on the same wheel, which rubs abit on turns but i can live with it.

So which ones will rub less and will it fit (255/35 or 255/40)?

Did you get an answer on the 255's? For what i'm doing it's a better choice but i don't want inner fender rubbing or any other issues.
