LED running lights don't match

Purchased a 2014 is350 f Sport and noticed the led daytime running lights don't match. One side is warmer and one side is cooler in color, could this be a issue with the whole headlight or a fuse? The lisence plate light too is yellow color on the same side. Disappointed. Made a service appointment, anyone else run into this at all? Figures I get an issue with my first lexus purchase :/

picture would be really helpful.

Here are the back lights, the front LED DRLS not coming out well in the dark, but look exactly the same color wise. Yellow/ warm on driver side. Cool/Blue on passenger. What could be causing this on one side of the car? Disappointed

If you swap the two license plate bulbs with each other, you will know whether you have an electrical issue, or a component issue (the actual LED bulb).

Wow...thats weird...

they are clearly different color temperatures

if it's consistent from the front to the back of car, it's gotta be an electrical issue.

and could be related to the battery drain issue :eek2:

Two different kinds of bulbs/LEDs is why you have two different colors.

so I did some checking and here is what i found... I have bolded what is important

Blue-emitting InGaN base material is covered with a converter material that emits yellow light when stimulated by the blue light. The result is a mixture of blue and yellow light that is perceived by the eye as white

(Figure 6). White LEDs, for example, exhibit a color shift due to different concentrations of converter material, in addition to a change of wavelength with forward voltage for the blue-emitting InGaN material. That color change can be seen in Figure 5, where a shifting of the X- and Y-coordinates means a color change. (As mentioned earlier, white LEDs have no specific wavelength.)

Figure 6.
http://www.maximintegrated.com/en/im.../3070Fig05.gif
An increasing forward current changes the tint of a blue LED by changing its emitted wavelength.

Forward voltage changes greatly for forward currents up to 10mA. The range of variation is about 800mV (some diode types change even more). A change in operating voltage caused by battery discharge therefore changes the color, because a change in operating voltage changes the forward current.
I suspect for redundancy reasons Lexus uses a drivers and passengers side electrical systems. There is most definitely signs of an electrical issue due to the perceived current flow through the LEDs. As someone stated earlier, swap the bulbs in the rear plate to confirm the current loss or not. This could be troubling news if confirmed.

Taking it in tomorrow to dealer to get looked at, we'll see what's wrong, it has to be electric issue because the led running lights are the same on the driver side as well. Blue/white on passenger and yellow on driver side. Good thing the car is brand new, under warranty because who knows how much that would cost to fix an electrical issue. I'm upset over it. Only 200 miles on car picked it up last Monday.Hope it can be fixed and hope I don't get a run around on it.

If it's an electrical issue they don't have to replace the whole led daytime lamp right?

well keep us updated on this dilemma...who knows what they will need to replace

Ran threw a bunch of test, swapped bulbs, it's not electrical it's the actual bulb & parts, replacing the led fixture and back bulb. :-\ Parts come in tomorrow. Relieved, but whole front bumper will come off. :-/
