Default Illuminated door sills?

Does anyone have experience with the "illuminated door sills" option and can recommend for or against them? Are they significantly better/cooler than the default non-lit ones? Also, since only the front ones are lit, how do the back ones compare to the default installed ones? Any before & after pictures?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

(I know the parts can be obtained from Sewell, but I'm just trying to figure out whether these are worth the time and/or cost...)

I saw it at the dealership and they look awesome, but I think it's pretty easy to install after the fact as well. The kit at the dealer seems to have everything you need.

I went with the non-illuminated sills with the Lexus logo because I didn't want to splice into the factory wiring harness. If Lexus had added a connector to the factory wiring for the sills, I may have gone that route.

That's what I'm concern about as well. I was expecting Lexus to have that as an order option for the car, but totally disappointing.

Looks good larry13. How much did you pay to have them installed? Local shop, or dealership?

Did you supply all of the parts? Or were they purchased through the dealership? My reason for asking is I didn't think dealerships would install parts not purchased from them. I guess it varies by dealership.

i supplied all the part, fogs from nigel jdm, sills from sewell, puddles from hidpowerehouse. may depend on dealership but all oem/jdm parts so they shouldnt have a problem

Default Easy Self Install

Not the best pic, but you get the idea. I did the install, it took about 2 hours. The instructions were very easy to follow and Lexus gives you all the material to do the job right the first time. The supplied splices were easy to install and heavy enough to carry any load the sill might need. Additionally, the tape and insulation that came with the kit were more than enough to ensure the splice WILL NOT come apart. I'd more than recommend installing these sills. I purchased from EBay, paid ~$300 for the kit. The best part of the kit was swapping the back door sills from ugly plastic to brushed metal. I like that as much as the lighted sills.

Installed mine by myself too. Install wasn't too bad. They look great, especially with white LED interior.
