Default DIY Burnt tips

So I took the idea from the 2IS forum and decided to try it out since I already had the tips off to have them repolished. In a nutshell, here's what I did:

- cleaned them up and polished them up using 1000-3000grit wet sandpaper
-buffed them up using a cloth wheel and green compound
-took a propane torch and heated them up until red, let it cool to check color and reheated to desired color

Here's the result:

I was running out of propane hence the splotchy spots!

Lease- return a car like the day you picked it up, minus wear and tear. Isn't this already the standard world wide?

not a bad idea

only concern is making sure that the heat is done equally so not to cause blotches.
