Default Nexen N5000 Tires

I needed two tires in the front a month ago. My mechanic suggested these Korean tires. I've driven them in the rain a few times and
they are very good. Quiet and handle well. I'm in the Bay Area, so no snow.

Hope they wear better than the ones I had on my 2IS, they were toast in just 10,000kms

Wow! I hope so! Did you replace the front lower control arm bushings to mitigate inner tire wear?

I suppose it depends on what you're doing with the tires. I've never heard of these. But from the category of "Ultra High Performance All-Season" they should be able to do just about anything. I had some Nexens on my 2010 Camry way back in the day. They were on the car when I got it at 20,000 miles and they survived all the way until 50,000 until I traded it. Though, that's a highly different car. Seems to be an affordable option.

Just to throw out a similar alternative, I really liked the BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S I had on my 2016 IS 300 AWD. They were decently priced and had a lot more performance potential than the stock Turanzas (obviously). I had them on the car from about 20,000 miles to nearly 40,000, with some decent tread life remaining.

Let us how know how they are. For me, I've noticed that pretty much any tire out of Michelin all perform relatively the same (not sure about Goodyear). For example, the Hankook Ventus V2 I would say most likely perform similar, if not same, to your Nexen N5000 tires but cost more. So if you're going to run anything besides the Michelin / Goodyear, might as well use test these brands and see how they are. As soon as any percipitation is present, these tires are sliding. Never felt like that in my Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires which I will get next Summer.

I drive fairly sensibly, I'd say, though I'm not a really slow driver. So far they seem fine.

I've been driving them in the rain off and on for a few weeks with no complaints. My mechanic recommended them. I did save some money. So far so good.

Life is weird sometimes. I just so happened to park next to a Challenger wearing some N5000 Platinums. Nice-looking tire.
