It makes sense for the 250. You don't need a V6 in that power band.

If that will come this year it'll be the reason for me to upgrade my 2010 IS250. I just cannot justify spending over 25k for a great looking car with the same impotent engine as of right now. Bring the turbo faster.

"The company rep who wished to remain anonymous said that the upcoming NX200t model will make 237 hp in production trim, while that number could be increased to closer to 250 for the IS."

This could be a very enticing trim. It would feature an increase in both horsepower and torque over the 2.5 V6. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see a torque value inching up pretty close to the 3.5 V6. It ought to be lower weight and with better fuel economy to boot. If only they'd offer it with a manual, which I doubt they will.

This will be competitive...

Now Lexus finally has my attention with the 3IS. This is exactly what the car needed last year.

No turbo 6, I'd rather have an 8... I don't trust turbos I blew the one in my 11' wrx in 50k and it had oil changes every 5k when 7500 was the rec interval... **** a turbo

that is how I feel, thats why I stuck with the 350 and Im very glad the RCF stuck with the V8 instead of doing a V6TT

Why must the things I want come AFTER I get the car? I picked the 3IS over the BMW for the looks and features but that turbo engine would've been nice.

Damn, now I have to decide IS350 F Sport, FR-S, or IS200T F Sport. Good problems.

Edit: Sept '15, not MY15. Guess it is IS350 or FR-S.

IMHO the FR-S is a bit boring. My friend has it and I drove it and was not impressed at all. There was so much hype about it and all but it just feels like an underpowered small car. It is supposedly the same speed as my 3IS 250 F-Sport but I felt more fun driving that. There was more torque and it really pushed you into your seat. This is just my opinion not me trying to decide for you.
