I'm taking my car in to get my summer tires put back on and am going to have the dealer install the obsidian grill surround I bought. Anyone have an estimate on how much that install should cost? I know they are going to quote me higher then normal so I want to be able to negotiate a little. I know one other person said the install took them about 3 hours.....

If anyone has any estimates on what they think the install should cost that would be great. Thanks.

 

I didn't have mine installed but I know they have to take the complete front bumper off then play with the tabs from the back, I'd say they're gonna charge you 3-4 hours of labor for the whole thing. If possible, try doing it yourself if you can and save some money for other mods.

 

I got it installed this past weekend and it took them 2 hours. Paid $216 which seemed a little steep but I didn't mind.

 

I would love to see photo's. I've been trying to decide to do the black or white that matches.

That looks great! I was thinking of doing mine with the Obsidian Black surround but my car is Ultra White do I'm not entirely sure how good it will look, hmmmm....

I found a set of pics of someone who either wrapped that surround grill with vinyl or actually replaced it, doesn't look bad with an UW car.

I've seen a nebula gray on the road with its chrome wrapped in black vinyl and I thought it looked great. Also have seen some ultra whites on the forum with the front chrome wrapped in black. Contrast looks good

 

I've yet to see UW with UW surround..
