I cant find any used ones to compare. I live in Atlanta. Any help would be appreciated I need to get an SUV to accommodate a new addition to our family
Really wish that I would've seen this before I bought my 250F... I'm in Atlanta too! Congrats on the new addition!

Nice! If the 2.0T makes it in the IS for '15, it might win out over the FR-S. If a stick returns, it definitely will. I've never owned a sports car, so the FR-S is the leader at the moment.

You will regret buying FRS, at least I did.

I had my 250 F sport posted on CL for 38 and was getting a lot of interest. So much interest in fact i took my ad down since I didn't have my other car yet. Whatever you can get it new for deduct 3K and it will sell. Some people will probably say "Your an idiot for not selling it for 38" but hey if it was high I wouldn't have received so much interest. Theres not that many used 2014 IS on the market

Im in the same boat as you except I am expecting a third kid and I can't fit 3 carseats across. With two kids I would keep the IS.

Just because you got a lot of interest does not mean that you will sell at asking price. Most people on CL will low ball you. If you listed at 38k, most probably will offer 32k-33k. People might bight at 34k. There is no way I will buy a used 250 f sport for 38k when you can get a brand new one for that price.

Show me where you can get a brand new fully loaded F Sport for 38K here in the Bay Area.

I don't care about straight line speed so long as it is in the range of our supercharged MINI or quicker. Company lease means I don't care about resell. I have a family car for people in the rear seat. I don't really care about what other people have and do with their car. I loved my MKV GTI despite vortex being full of oil pan scrapers. I've seen some tacky ISs here... I also like the interior. Great seats. Don't care about cheap plastics. Maybe I'm not Lexus material.

Again, it is as quick as an ej20 WRX.... fast enough for me. I love that it makes all the power up top. The chassis is a dream and that is what is most important to me. Different strokes.

The '15 WRX has piqued my interest, but I settled for a hefty sedan the last time I had an opportunity to get a sports car. I too often found myself wishing for something lighter and more visceral. The IS is a consideration because I thing it looks amazing and the chassis is awesome.
