I usually put my phone in my bag nearby or under the armrest lid.

Speaking of message notifications, I also have a Canadian 3IS but I am currently using iPhone. Did you actually see the messages on your nav working? There is an error message "Messages cannot be loaded" or something like that.

i'm actually picking up my 3IS tomorrow! lol
so i'll have to play around with it before answering that

but when i had a 3IS as a loaner vehicle, i was able to sync my Note 3 to the car and i think i was able to get it to read a new email?
too bad there's no function to push whatsapp and other notifications up to the screen!
.. or is there?

When I had an HTC One, it was the cupholder. Now I have the Nokia Lumia 1520 which is a little larger than the Note 3, so it's usually in the passenger seat. If someone's in the seat, I'll either leave it in my pocket or put it in the center console.

I have the HTC One Max(bigger than Note 3)
Usually I just lay it in the passenger seat or in the console.

I have a soft rag in the bottom of the door pocket, and I toss my phone there to keep it out of the way when driving.

Last time I checked on here the Iphone messages didnt appear on the Nav, is this still true? Does anyone have an Iphone 5 that is able to view more than a caller on the Nav screen?
