Removal of Back seat Question?

Hi,

Long story short....some kids dropped popcorn in the back seats and it fell underneath the seat via seat belt holes.

Was wondering if any one knows how to remove the back seat?

Or should I go to the dealer?

Thanks

From my experience it should just take a tug on the left side and a tug on the right. all vehicles ive worked on have been that easy. the rear seat seems to just snap into place. no screws of crazy clips. I haven't removed my seat yet but i would assume it comes off the way i described. =)

good luck!

Or you could check below the seats to the front. My subarus in the past had two bolts there (essentially behind your calves if you were sitting in the seat) and that's all it took to remove them.

okay i can confirm all you do is yank seat to remove them.
do not yank slowly. yank hard and quick. jerk motion is best.
It will not come off if you pull slowly hard.

here are some photos pointing at the clips holding it down.

I wasn't trying specifically for you but your welcome hahaha.:thumbup:
Just remembered this thread I saw so I thought i'd take some photos to help

I was taking the rear of the car apart just to investigate the rear deck cover off to get it ready to tint the rear windows due to the 3rd brake light poking up so high in the way. come to find out at the end it just pops right off the rear deck :egads: but i'll use this as an excuse to lay some sound dampening the hollow sounding rear deck metal so the factory subwoofer will sound a little better.
