Default Joe Z Intake

I haven't been able to get anyone to respond to my posts on other threads about the Joe Z Intake so I figured I would just make my own thread and hope someone can answer my question.

I want to purchase the Joe Z intake and when I went on the website it says its only available for models 2006-2010. Will this model fit the 2014 model? Also, is the Joe Z intake legal in regards to emissions testing? On the website it says "**NOT CARB LEGAL**"

Here is the link to the Joe Z intake I want to purchase. Will this work/fit in my 2014 model?

Thanks

When installing an intake on the 3IS, do we need to reprogram the engine or computer at all? I know with some vehicles they need to be reprogrammed for the intake. When I worked at BMW, all the Dinan intakes, or any other Dinan accessory required the vehicle be reprogrammed after the installation.

No reprogramming needed, the ECU will adjust on its own. You may see some very slight wobble in your idle RPM for the first few miles, but that should go away once the ECU adjusts.

In the instructions they recommend you unplug the negative on the battery while you are doing the install and then plug it back in when you are done to reset the ECU.

I didn't even read the instructions but did this anyway. This should be done when installing any intake IMO.
