Default Headlight Self-leveling when starting the car?

I just got my IS350 F-sport which equipped with HID headlight for few days, but I have encountered a weird problem as every time I start the car the HID headlight never does a self-leveling job. It just never goes up and down and back to its original spot in which I have never encountered in my previous owned vehicles. Can anyone tell me if this is a normal situation here?

From my knowledge all f-sport models come with LED headlights. I don't think they have self leveling or at least I haven't noticed it on mine

Shivad87 is correct. In the U.S. the F-sport models come with twin LED lamps not HIDs. Might be different in Canada though.

From what I read, Lexus is going away with auto leveling headlights.

Far as I'm aware F Sport doesn't have self leveling or the adaptive headlight feature.

hmm swore I witnessed my LED headlights self-level when I first turned them on during the demo... but since then it's never done it again. so I must've been tripping.

No LED headlights in Canada, unless it's the top 350 AWD version. As for the HIDs for which I also have, they do not self-level. It's normal.

My car does self level as I have seen it multiple times when turning on my car .....I would say start your car at night in front of your garage door and you will see the lights level when your turn the car on

I was reading the manual and I couldn't find anything in the index for 'self-leveling headlamps/headlights' but I did find 'automatic level headlights' which sounds like the same thing as self-leveling. I have a Canadian model which comes standard with bi-xenon HID projectors.

Not to insult anyone's intelligence (no offense intended), but are you guys sure that what you are seing with HIDs is not the effect when the gas is warming? All HID bulbs go through a quick phase of innitializing when first turned on. They flash, dim, then brighten when the bulb gas gets warm. It might give the illusion of them looking really bright and higher level, then dropping and leveling out. That is just the gas warming. All of my past cars with HIDs did it, and my LEDs on my 3IS does it slightly.
