Window streaking
 

It's wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them , every time I wash the car and it's nice and dry then many hrs later I still roll the window down and it's still wet and streaks with wet marks , even the next day , continues to streak . So don't know if this is normal for these cars or not , any help would be great :-)

Its happened to me a few times. Pretty annoying after cleaning the car and then ruining it when you roll down the window.

It stopped doing it for you tho ? And yes it is very annoying !

its been happening to me as well. it even happened 2 days after it rained! it was bright and sunny for the 2 days after the rain and I rolled down my window and when i rolled it back up had streaks. I wish I knew why

Sorry I should have been clearer. It is still happening to me whenever i was my car or if it rains.

I solved the problem by not rolling windows down. It is actually a good way to start a diet, no drive-thrus.

Lol !! That's a good one ;-) just thought thought maybe it could be a recall thing but if no one else cares bout , why should we right ? Lol

I've never had a car that didn't do this.

I think in the older cars the streaks are caused by the pads that hold the window in place while inside the door frame.

Just find it weird that even a couple of days later it still streaks !

I just think the doors are pretty well sealed up, so when rain water or car wash water gets in, it takes a while for it to evaporate out.

I agree. Every car does this but only for a short while. I washed mine yesterday morning and in the evening when I rolled the window down it streaked. This morning I rolled it down again and it still streaked. That's an unusually long time.

Exactly !! So I'll wait til it's nice out around here to really mess with it or take it in to see if it's a sealing problem :-)

But I never noticed this on the 2IS though...

Some have a felt liner that holds water. I know the 3IS has this. Wait til it gets warmer and the issue should go away as evaporation happens faster.
