Default Lease Help!

Hi All!

I'm looking to officially join the CL community and need your advice! I'm in talks with a dealership in the Bay Area for either a 250 F Sport or a 350 F sport. I qualified for Tier 1 Plus, a college graduate (2011 - Haven't got a clear answer if I'd be eligible), and am a first time buyer. I got a few preliminary figures from the dealership;

2014 Lexus IS250 F Sport (Ultra/Rioja)
Nav/BSM (no ML)

MSRP $42,988
27 month lease/10k miles
MF: .00210
Drive Off: $2,000
$574.46/mo
Residual: 74%

2014 Lexus IS350 F Sport (Obsidian/Rioja)
Nav/BSM (no ML)

MSRP $47,008
27 month lease/10k miles
MF: .00210
Drive Off: $2,000
$654.82/mo
Residual: 73%

The dealership knocked off 1k from MSRP based on the above numbers. I will be discussing better numbers with them tomorrow. I know these figures are quite high compared to what some of you paid. MSD's aren't an option for me just yet.

What should I ideally ask for, based on the information above? I was told I could get $500 above invoice from one of the salesman. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Wow that's an amazing deal. Would this be Keyes Lexus in SoCal? I'm in SF but that deal may be worth the trip for me.

They are inflating the heck out of that money factor. Keep searching this forum for what others have paid and if they don't want to come close to meeting some of our deals take your business elsewhere .

Yeah, the one in SoCal Van Nuys. If you decide to do the drive, ask for Niko. Tell him which car you want and with which packages. He will search the inventory/show you the lot. When you and Niko find a car you want to start talking prices for, tell him you want to work with Ben.

When you start talking to Ben, mention that Brandon Yashouafar sent you and you are friends with him, and you want the same deal that he got.

One of my actual friends was able to get the same deal as me through this process, but I am not sure how it will go down with you. If you aren't able to get the 350, they were able to give me $395 a month the first time I went to them. From the Lexus dealerships I've visited, the Van Nuys location has the most on stock, and they were willing to work with better numbers so if you can't get my number, you'll still get a better number than a lot of other dealerships.

.002 MF and only $1k below invoice? Where are you going?

Go to Stevens Creek and ask for Paul Georges. Tell him Alex who just got IS350 Ultra white referred you and he will get you a better deal.

Current MF for top tier leasees is .00110. They are almost doubling the MF which will increase your monthly payment by ~$80 for a $47K vehicle.

What is the purpose of abrutly switching sales associates? As a salesman, this is frustrating if the first person is doing his job correctly.

No, you aren't switching salesmen. The way that dealership works is they have employees to show customers the cars and go on test drives, and then they bring another employee to work out the numbers.

Niko worked the showroom and found the car i wanted in stock in brought it down to me; Ben worked the numbers with my dad.
