Default Summer tires with F Sport? Please Help !

Hi All,

i just picked up a new 2014 Ultra White on Red IS350 FSport & LOVE IT.

traded in FBO E92....

but the car came with POS all weather Turanza tires? WTF?

i thought the Fsport is350s came with summer potenza s001 ? i thought the turnazas are for AWD or non-fsport?
especially for here in south florida.

please help.

It should Turanza ER33's on it which are Grand Touring Summer tires. They are not a very good tire and I'm going to be switching to Continental ExtremeContact DW's on my car. Congrats - I have the same color combo.

you are right, they are Turanza ER33 but drive like all season tires....what a POS tire......Michelin PSS or Contis DW it is,,.,,,i also liked the nitto INVO before....sexy tire for a sexy car.

do you change your tires at dealer or go elsewhere ?

I'm going to put 3-4k miles on the stock tires - I'm only at 415 miles thus far. Then I'm going to switch to the DW's. Reason is, I'm leasing for two years (24k) so I'll put the stock tires back on when I return it and they'll have enough tread to keep me from having to put new tires on the car for someone else. I actually don't have too many complaints about these tires. They hook up pretty well on the dry and the handling is pretty darn good. However I have not driven in less than ideal conditions yet, but then again I didn't buy the IS350 for bad weather.

Continental Extreme Contact DW or Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I have MPSS (255-40-19 x 4) on my '13 Mustang GT, and are without doubt the best summer performance I've used. A close runner up would be the Conti DW's (not the Conti all season DWS). I had 235-45-18 DW's on my wife's Accord--the tire was way too good for the car. The Contis are much more affordable than the MPSS but wear faster. When I burn the OE Bridgestones down to the cords, I'll go for the MPSS on my '14 350 IS F Sport.

If there's any consolation about Lexus' choice of tires for our cars, here's some consolation---Lexus could have done worse: the F30 328/335i, the ATS, and the Q50 all use crappy run flats as OEM.
