Getting windows tinted. Will they wash car before/after?
 

I'm bringing my 3IS back to the dealer for window tinting.

Are they going to wash the windows before the tinting process?

I have read threads about how the dealer car wash leads to swirls/scratches on the exterior.

Please advise. Thanks

Tint is applied on the inside. No need for washing the exterior of the car for that.

Simply put, no shop/dealer washes a car for tint because there is no need as jhs82 mentioned

On the other hand, many dealers wash the car any time you bring it to them, so it wouldn't hurt for you to tell them not to include a wash.

Do they have a different car wash guy? Cause when you buy your car, they wash it for you and no swirls. But the moment you leave the lot and bring it back. Swirls!

That is such a good point LOL. There are absolutely no swirls on my car right now. I know my dealer washed it before I drove it off the lot. Not taking any chances tomorrow though
