Is it true that Nebula Gray Pearl with Rioja Red is the hardest to find?

Not sure about the US since you don't get USB and Atomic Silver, but in Canada, so far the IS's I've seen have been mostly F-Sports Obsidian and U White with Red or Black interiors. USB (black int only) might be up there as a rare breed but my gut tells me Atomic Silver/Rioja Red F-Sport will be the rarest breed here.

I have yet to see a Nebula/Roja Red IS on the dealers' lots.

Rarest color combo is Matador red with Roja red interior. I've seen practically every other color combo either in person or online. But have not seen red on red.

so in australia I have ordered 350 f-sport in USB (called flame blue) with the red interior

this seems to be a very rare combo

I had to special order that combination for delivery in Northeast USA. I look frequently at the available inventory in this part of the country. I only saw one Nebula/Red 350 F Sport there over the summer so far.

I guess I got luck I went in Aug 9th and told them I wanted an IS 350 F-Sport Nebula Grey Pearl with red interior they said they had one en route and on Aug 21st I picked it up. Plus it had blind side monitoring and VGRS.

**** happens i guess. LIke in Canada, the LED headlamps (which i absolutely love from the pics) is not available in F-sport and is ONLY available in non-fsport and that too in the highest package (Executive package)

But why do they do this? Could consumer preferences be that diffferent between the Canadian and US markets? Other factors being equal, would it not be less expensive for Lexus to offer the same choices to all markets?

As you may have noticed by the fact you have to order what you want and wait for 2 months -- Toyota is fully into "just in time" delivery. The days of 70% margins are over in every industry so Toyota is using behavioral and preference data to target what the data says each culture wants and expects -- and damn the outliers who have little or no statistical meaning.

Don't look at the Nebula/Roja combo -- it's like a siren. I saw it and had to have it.

This is a rare sight for us in the USA as it's only available in Canada for North America currently. Atomic Silver F SPORT.

Based on what I was shown by a Lexus manager in late July, I believe there were exactly 13 nebula grey/rioja red IS350 F sports with Mark Levinson shipped to all of California. Outside of those 13 (which all sold) you have 350s that did not have the Mark Levinson and also the 250 F Sports in that color combo, but based on my monitoring of the Lexus inventories throughout the state, there haven't been a lot of them. But they are out there in California and available as of right now (not with Mark Levinson, though).
