2 bulbs - LED

The Facebook from Lexus Canada has once confused people by a picture of single bulb and pointed out it is LED projector. (Dated June 5, 2013)

 

in canada is the 2 bulb option available?

 

single projector houses HID. single low beam and high beam setup.
dual projector houses LEDs. separate low beam and high beam setup.

the LED headlamps are available through the luxury/premium/f-sport packages. you'd have to buy and extremely basic IS in order to get the HID headlamps.

The only way to get LED headlamps is to get the top-end Executive (Luxury) package. All F-Sport trims come with HID here.

 

To clarify, the LED headlamp is only available in Executive package of regular IS350 AWD. So out of those 19 packages (excluding base models), only 1 package has the LED headlamp in Canada.


To my knowledge, standard LED headlamps in F-Sport model are exclusive in US region. The other regions (including Japan) either get LED headlamp as an option or not get it at all. Of course, I exclude the is300h.

I wonder if it's possible to do a retrofit from the HID to LED headlight housing? The dealership will probably charge a ridiculous price for them though but I'm sure used ones will be popping up later on.

 

At least Sweden, Norway has LED for F-sport and non F-sport.

In Sweden, regardless of engine, the Luxury package is unavailable. Executive is top of the line. (The packages are in order Eco, Comfort, F-sport, Executive.)

Norway only gets the IS 300h. Packages are Comfort, Executive, Executive Plus, F-sport and Luxury. LED headlights are standard on Executive Plus and above.

UK got the packages SE, Luxury, F-sport and Premier. None of them has or can get LED headlights.

 

Lexus distributors often call packages differently... Executive in Sweden has more Equipment than Luxury in most countries.

It has everything - NAV with ML, PCS, etc, etc.

So you cant compare names, they are just there for marketing reasons.

 

True. The only thing you can add on a Swedish Executive is moon roof. Everything else is included.
