Any tips on running the power wiring for this dashcam? Really wanting a dashcam, but didn't want to have wires/cables exposed anywhere...

I used a multimeter to identify a switched 12V and a ground using the two wire harness bundles that plug into the map light assembly. Just use your fingertips to pull it down (you have to pull hard).

once you access the wire bundles, you'll have to cycle the ignition on and off while probing with the multimeter. I was able to do it alone but it can be tricky as you have to find a stable ground for the multimeter prong. i forgot which color the wire was, but you'll find it. i believe the power wire was on the driver side bundle. and the ground on the passenger side bundle. you can also ground by simply drilling a hole somewhere but i just tapped an existing ground wire.

Great info, thanks for the writeup. Didn't realize a dash cam could be powered by the map lights.

the harnesses in the map lights connect to the sun roof as well. so there's some pretty decently sized wire going in and out. it's more than just the lights. the dash cam takes very little power (the mobius does anyway). no screen.
