I plan on contacting the internet sales person to see what kind of deal I can get. Anyone with any ideas on how much I should offer out the door for this one?
Hey guys I noticed you're both in CA. If you guys don't want to go through the hassle of negotiating back and forth with different dealerships let me know if I can be of any assistance! No fees for our service.

Hi guys,

First time poster/buyer..

I've read about the last 20 pages or so but didnt quite get some advise.

2016 IS350 - fsport/navi/BSM packages
Currently being offered at 45.5k. (Msrp @ 48k +/-) This is in texas btw. Ive read on here that some folks got 10% off msrp already on 16s? I was just wondering if anyone in texas has already bought one with the same packages and how much they paid for it? Before ttl. And what warantees do i need to absolutely get? Extended warranty?

Thanks!!!! Any advise is really gonna help

Welcome to the group! Very good question and I'm not sure how some of these guys are getting costs below invoice prices unless it is on current stock that the dealer is trying to move. I have been looking at both the IS200t and IS350 but since I want the ML stereo I have to special order the car, at least in my area, so I don't think I will be able to get the dealer below invoice price...but I will be trying. As for warranties, I never buy the extended warranty at the start. You can almost always purchase it down the road from the dealer if you feel you need it.

I have been quoted for a 2016 IS200T F sport with navi in USB color for $45,500 out the door. Any opinions on if this sounds like a fair price? Msrp is about $45,500 and Im in so cal if it matters. First time car buyer here and I do have a car I'd like to trade in also.

Best way to be sure is to use Edmunds.com (or any site that shows you the invoice costs) to check the invoice price with specs. Did the dealer give you a printout of all the costs broken down to include TTL? You will need the TTL as Edmunds doesn't show that.

I used San Diego's zip in the link below but you can change that to match yours:

I would like to see some of the deals people have gotten on special orders. As I've mentioned already, I think most of the good deals are on "in stock" cars.

I didn't see his previous post. Previously, he states the out the door and MSRP are 45.5k, so it's a bit confusing. If he's paying 43k MSRP without taxes then his starting point should be 38k, but that pretty much an offer you'll have to do all cash or majority cash with the 7.5k minimum financing the dealer normally ask you to take on to close the deal (I guess they earn a fee from Lexus FS). The more you have to finance, the lower your discount as that represents a risk of actually closing the deal.

Sorry for the confusion. The offer is 45.5 out the door. Not sure how much lower I can go since I guess the USB with red interior is a "rare" color. Im open to all suggestions on how much I should counter offer.. Will be test driving it tomorrow.

You could probably eliminate the confusion by stating sale price before TTL.

Best thing to do is try to find a dealer with a similar vehicle and get an offer, even if you ship it, as long as the overall cost is lower you bargaining position is stronger than your current position. Also, try to have a different salesperson at the same dealer as some sales people are willing to discount more than others.
