Question Any GS owners thinking of the 3IS?

Well the good news is the wife likes the IS so I got that cleared away ....need to see in person and I'm concerned about the front seat adjustments but I'm interested with the red leather F-sport.... I just find the front end so damn different and concept car like that I can only imagine it lowered and modified.

Rarely do I use my backseat but it has come in handy for company, not a selling point. I would prefer a coupe have also debuted but it seems that is 2-3 years away. Was flirting with a non-Lexus but this happens

Any other GS owners thinking about stepping into a 3IS?

Only an IS coupe with plenty of legroom could sway me into one.
I love my 3GS but I'm done with sedans.

I was considering the GS as my replacement to my 550i next year. Now that the IS has been released I think the IS is more appealing. The GS, while nice looking is a little boring to look at. The 3IS will turn heads. The IS is now close in size to a GS so that is another selling point. I don't use the back seat much but if the IS is now comparable to the new 3 series than that is a nice bonus to keep me from wanting a bigger GS. I also don't like the tailpipe on the GS. I prefer round tailpipes found on the IS.

IS300h F-Sport is very tempting. The new hybrid tech looks interesting.

Wish we had an IS450h F-Sport though.

Will come down to how useable the backseat is.

I personally prefer smaller cars, but the current IS has so little back seat room and is pretty rough over bumps. Since they have up-sized the 3IS, I may consider trading my 4GS for one, but it will most likely be the coupe. I LOVE my 4GS, but it is a little larger car than I usually prefer.

wonder if the 2014 GS will get any of the 2014 IS enhancements. Usually they want to debut the high performance stuff on the IS before the GS. Similar to how the 06 GS came with the 300 engine, then the 06 IS350 came out, then the 07 GS gained the 350 engine. Maybe the GS will gain the 8 speed and LFA tach next year?

Naa, the IS is too small for me, even though the new one is bigger. I prefer the more "grown up" GS.

If I were looking in that segment though, I like the looks of the 3IS compared with its competitors though.

Looking to add the IS coupe in F-Sport trim for a summer car. Can't see trading the GS, at a small financial loss, for the IS.

I can wait. To me, the 3GS looks better than these current sedan offerings....except for the LS....which I find really bold and attractive.

It's all preference. I went from 07 GS 350 to 09 IS F. Lexus needs to make a GS F already.
